Language Arts – English

The English syllabus at Siam International School is one of the most relevant subject areas. Siam uses the latest teaching methods to ensure lessons are fun and interesting. The well planned lessons take into account the needs of students who have acquired English as a second language, as well as those students who already have fluency.

Students develop their critical understanding and control of English in a wide variety of situations, ranging from informal to formal. Students are also taught to take responsibility for their understanding of English literature, grammar and their English skills development. The syllabus promotes classroom activities which integrate the skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening and study skills.

Within the academic framework an element of IELTS/TOEFL training is given at the upper level to assist students in preparation for the requirements of university.

Reading Achievement

Special emphasis is given to ensure all students at Siam are able to achieve a high standard of reading. The ability to read well is reflected throughout a student's work and has a direct impact on writing skills. To ensure students are on track, a specialized graded reading program is used by Siam International School. This program ensures a student's needs are met a each ability level.

Summer School English Learning Program

A special English learning program is available for international students during June, July and August and for That students from mid March to May. Theses are fun filled learning programs suitable for students of all ages who need to develop their English language skills.
